See https://codepen.io/jpamental/pen/aMQKvP Scroll down to the bottom. Notice the single underline on the last line of text. Hover over it with your mouse, then un-hover. The underline's animation back to normal thickness appears to leave a trail.

We should consider making both position and size always multiples of whole device pixel.
